Not quite a sweep, but I will take it...

Happy Memorial Day! I hope a wonderful time was had as you remembered the sevice men and women who have given their lives for our nation.

So glad that the Yankees took 3 out of 4 against Cleveland (and no, I don't really want to talk about Saturday's game, although it did lead to some amusing commentary on Twitter from my Yankees fans Tweeps). In the series, both A-Rod and Roby got grand slams and Pettitte pitched like a champ. Nice work, boys.

My weekend was PACKED but I managed to get in some baseball time, as well as an afternoon of baseballl nostalgia while Blake and I looked through stacks of 80s and 90s Topps cards - we found an Al Leiter rookie card and an adorable card from Joe Girardi's second season on the Cubbies.

I have so much to write this week, including more about the aforementioned baseball cards, but now I need to rest from the BBQ we threw this afternoon and prepare to go to the gym bright and early tomorrow morning (I figure if I tell you, my dear readers, then it is both a goal and an obligation).

Sweet dreams, all!
