The Bronx's Golden Trio

The Yankees infield snagged three of the nine Golden Glove awards for AL Players. Cano, Jeter and Teix were each named best at their positions in 2010, due greatly to their amazing chemistry and ability to turn 6-4-3s like the pros that they are.

Marky Mark certainly earned his Golden, um, Glove (Image/ME!)
The entire AL Golden Glove breakdown is as follows:

C Joe Mauer, Twins
1B Mark Teixeira, Yankees (!)
2B Robinson Cano, Yankees (!)
3B Evan Longoria, Rays
SS Derek Jeter, Yankees (!)
OF Ichiro Suzuki, Mariners
OF Carl Crawford, Rays
OF Franklin Gutierrez, Mariners
P Mark Buehrle, White Sox (!)

While I was initially shocked at the awards for Yankees' players, since the wounds are still fresh from the final weeks of the season, I do remember how few errors the Yankees made this season, which actually were the fewest in franchise history. So how come the above list wasn't all Yankees? Okay maybe still Ichiro instead of Swish.

Congrats, boys! Can't wait to see you in, oh, 142 days! Oh, and the MVP awards will be announced on November 22nd and 23rd. Stayed tuned for Robbie's second big award of the year!
