They Are the Champions

After the Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs, my baseball fandom dictated that I had to pick a team for the World Series. I've never had feelings either way for the Rangers but after the sting of their steamroll-over-the-Bronx-Bombers performance in the ALCS and my excitement for Tim Lincecum after his first game in the NLDS, I went Giants all the way.

Congrats to Timmy and his entire team on winning their first title in 56 years. And with that, baseball is over for 2010. Let's not cry too much, shall we? It will be back before we know it, and there is plenty of speculation and gossip to come and then it will be spring training before we know it. And there is always drinking and pretending we like football too.
